Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Short King Dating mobile application and website (the "Service") operated by Short King Dating LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. ELIGIBILITY

If registering as a woman, be any height — women are welcome regardless of height

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.

2. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION

2.1 Account Creation

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

2.2 Identity Verification

We require users to submit a live selfie, a profile photo, and a government-issued ID for manual identity verification. Your profile will not be visible until you are verified. VERIFICATION DATA DELETION: Your live selfie and government ID are reviewed solely to confirm your real identity and stated height. Once your account is approved, these documents are permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems. They are never stored long-term, shared with other users, sold, or used for any purpose beyond verification. The only data retained after approval is your public profile information.

2.3 One Account Per Person

You may only maintain one active account on the Service. Creating multiple accounts is grounds for permanent termination.

4. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENTS

4.1 Free Access for Women

Women who register on Short King Dating receive full premium access at no charge. This includes unlimited messaging with mutual matches, the ability to see users who have liked their profile, and unlimited swipes. This offer is subject to change with reasonable notice.

4.2 Premium Subscriptions for Men

Male users may access premium features through a paid subscription. Current pricing is displayed within the app and may be updated with notice. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

4.3 King Boosts

King Boosts temporarily increase profile visibility for one hour. Boosts may be purchased individually or in packs. One free boost is provided per week to all users. Boosts are non-refundable once activated.

4.4 Refund Policy

All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at shortkingdating@gmail.com within 30 days of the charge.

4.5 Payment Processing

Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store your full payment card information. By making a purchase, you agree to the terms of the applicable payment processor.

5. MATCHING AND MESSAGING

Messaging is only available between users who have mutually liked each other ("Mutual Matches"). We do not guarantee any minimum number of matches. The Service is provided as a platform for connections — we are not responsible for the outcome of any interactions between users.

6. MODERATION AND ENFORCEMENT

6.1 Our Rights

We reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict any content or account that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, or is otherwise harmful to our users or the Service.

6.2 Reporting

Users may report inappropriate behavior or content through the app. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

6.3 Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account without notice if you violate these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.

7. DISCLAIMERS

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. SHORT KING DATING LLC DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

WE DO NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON USERS. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS. EXERCISE CAUTION WHEN MEETING ANYONE IN PERSON.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SHORT KING DATING LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Short King Dating LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Short King Dating LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written consent.

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content in connection with operating and improving the Service.

11. PRIVACY

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices.

12. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in New York, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for violations of intellectual property rights.

13. CHANGES TO TERMS

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
